Pakistan reaches quarterfinals of World Junior Team Squash Championship

WEB DESK: Pakistan cruised into the quarter-finals of the World Junior Squash Team Championships 2025 with an emphatic 2-0 win over Poland in the pre-quarterfinals held in Egypt on Tuesday.

In the opening match, Pakistan’s Abdullah Nawaz edged past Poland’s Jan Samborski in a gritty four-game contest, winning 3-1 with game scores of 12-10, 4-11, 11-8, 11-2.

Anas Ali Shah sealed the tie for Pakistan in a nail-biting five-game thriller against Franciszek Michniewicz. After falling behind two games to one, Anas staged a strong comeback to claim victory 11-7, 9-11, 10-12, 11-5, 11-3.

With this win, Pakistan have booked their place in the last eight, where they will take on a strong English side in Wednesday’s quarter-final showdown.
