Pakistan squad for T20I series against Bangladesh announced

LAHORE: Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead Pakistan’s T20I side for the upcoming three match T20I series against Bangladesh.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the team selection was based on the player’s performance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is nearing its end as the first qualifier takes place later tonight. The PSL will conclude on May 25.

All three matches of the series will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The full schedule will be announced soon. Some media reports claim that the series will begin on May 27, with the final match being held on May 31.

The upcoming series marks Mike Hesson’s first assignment as white ball head coach. Saim Ayub is finally returning to international play after being side-lined since January, which forced him to miss the tri-nation series, Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand, and the Champions Trophy.

Notable names that have been left out of the squad include Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi.
