COLOMBO: Pakistan secured a place in the semi-finals of the SAFF U17 Championship 2025 after a resounding 5-2 victory over Maldives on Friday. The win comes on the heels of an earlier 4-0 triumph over Bhutan on September 16, solidifying Pakistan’s dominance in Group B, which also includes archrivals India.
With two consecutive wins, Pakistan has shown strong form in the tournament, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from September 16 to 27. The Greens will now face their rivals India on Monday, September 22, in a highly anticipated clash that could decide the top spot in the group.
The team boasts a balanced lineup of talented players across all positions:
Goalkeepers: Samar Razzaq, Khalil Jibran, Adil Ali Khan
Defenders: Nadeem Hussain, Muhammad Alam, Muhammad Masood, Muhammad Zubair, Shahid Anjum, Aabiss Raza, Azizullah

According to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), the team will remain in Sri Lanka throughout the group and knockout stages, from September 16 to 27.
Meanwhile, Pakistan eyes a strong finish to their SAFF U17 campaign and a potential shot at the championship title, following consecutive victories that the Greens ensured.
