According to sources, Pakistan will assume the ACC presidency for the next two years. Naqvi’s leadership will commence following the term of the current president, Jay Shah, who also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Shah received a one-year extension in January this year.
During the last ACC meeting, the topic of the forthcoming presidency was discussed, with Shah’s term nearing its end. Sources have indicated that the official announcement of the new chairmanship will be made during the ACC’s October meeting.
