Pakistan U19 squad for tri-series and Asia Cup announced

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday the U19 team for the upcoming tri-series involving Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the 2024 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.
The team, which is being led by Saad Baig, will be competing in the ACC U19 Asia Cup beginning on November 29 and end on December 8. Saad led the team in the last edition of the Asia Cup, in which Pakistan won all three of their matches in the group stage, before being knocked out by UAE in the semi-finals.
The 18-year-old batter also led Pakistan in the U19 World Cup held earlier this year, in which Pakistan won all three of their group stage matches as well as all four of their Super 6 matches, before losing to Australia in the semi-finals.
Apart from Saad, five other players including Ali Raza, Haroon Arshad, Mohammad Riazullah, Naveed Ahmed Khan, and Shahzaib Khan all participated in the aforementioned World Cup.

Saad Baig (captain, wicket-keeper) (Karachi), Abdul Subhan (Abbottabad), Ali Raza (Sialkot), Faham-ul-Haq (Lahore), Farhan Yousuf (Lahore), Haroon Arshad (Karachi), Hassan Khan (Rawalpindi), Mohammad Ahmed (Lahore), Mohammad Huzaifa (only for tri-series) (Bahawalpur), Mohammad Riazullah (Abbottabad), Naveed Ahmed Khan (Karachi), Shahzaib Khan (Abbottabad), Tayyab Arif (Sialkot), Umar Zaib (Abbottabad) and Usman Khan (FATA)
SCHEDULE:
The tri-series will kick off with Pakistan facing UAE on November 13, before the boys in green take on Afghanistan on both November 15 and 20. They will then play UAE for a second time. The finals will take place on November 26.
The Asia Cup will begin on November 30with a match between rivals Pakistan and India. Pakistan’s next match will take place on December 2, and will see them once again face UAE. On December 4, Pakistan will play Japan. The two semi-finals will take place on December 6 and the finals will take place on December 8.
