Pakistan got off to a disastrous start, losing their first three wickets for just 9 runs within the first four overs! Mohammad Haris was dismissed for a duck in the first over by Kyle Jamieson, who also took the wicket of Hasan Nawaz, caught for another duck.

Irfan Khan followed suit, also falling for a duck. This left Pakistan reeling at 9/3!
