Third day of second test: Pakistan leads by 21 runs against Bangladesh

The day began with Pakistan at 21 for two, but the top order could not withstand the pressure from the Bangladeshi bowlers. Saeem Ayub managed 20 runs, Shaan Masood contributed 28, and skipper Babar Azam was dismissed cheaply for 11. Shakeel Masood came in to support Mohammad Rizwan but departed after scoring just two runs.

By lunch, Pakistan had managed to score 117 runs for six wickets, giving them a modest 129-run lead over Bangladesh’s first innings total. Mohammad Rizwan, who has been the lone warrior for Pakistan, added five more runs to his tally after lunch before falling to a sharp catch by the wicketkeeper off Hasan Mohammad’s bowling. He top-scored with 43 runs.

The collapse continued as Mohammad Ali was dismissed for a golden duck, leaving Salman Agha, who is currently on 18, and Abrar Ahmed, who has managed 2 runs, to salvage what remains of Pakistan’s innings.
