Pakistani spinner Noman Ali named ICC Player of the Month

LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named Pakistani spinner Noman Ali ICC Player of the Month for October 2024. The ICC had also nominated South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner for the award.

In August 2023, Pakistan’s former skipper Babar Azam had also won this honor.

Nouman Ali has been named for the title on the base of his extraordinary performance in the Test match against England, when he took all 20 wickets in both innings.

However, that is not the only time when Noman has proved his mettle. He has established his prowess in breaking partnerships and turning matches in favour of Pakistan multiple times. In recognition of his cricketing skills, ICC has awarded him with the title of Player of the Month.
