While both Saudi Arabian riders also accumulated 42 points, they edged ahead of Abbas due to their quicker run times when compared.

Meanwhile, in the team standings, Jordan clinched the top spot with 159 points, trailed by Saudi Arabia in 2nd place with 154 points, Egypt secured the 3rd spot with 150 points, and India secured the 4th place with 145.5 points.

Pakistan achieved 144 points on day one, a score that could have positioned them in 3rd place had Wajahatullah not missed the target during the team run.

The upcoming Friday’s second day of the championship will witness players competing in the “sword” category across seven runs.

On the final day, Saturday, participants will engage in six runs, encompassing two each in the rings and peg, lemons and peg, and relay categories.
