LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the match schedule for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Friday.
The highly anticipated tenth edition of the PSL will kick of April 11 with the finals scheduled for April 18th. However, before the official matches kick off on the eleventh, an exhibition will be held on April 8 in Peshawar. The teams competing in this match are yet to be announced.
Matches will take place between Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, and Lahore. Eleven matches will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while Karachi National Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will host five each. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host 13 matches.
The first match will see defending champions Islamabad United take on the only team to ever successfully defend their title, the Lahore Qalandars. They will clash in Rawalpindi on April 11. The Peshawar Zalmi and the Quetta Gladiators will have their first match against each other the very next day in Rawalpindi. The Karachi Kings and the Multan Sultans play their first match on the same day. Along with April 12, May 1 and May 10 will also feature double headers. On May 1, the Multan Sultans will face the Karachi Kings, while the Lahore Qalandars face the Quetta Gladiators. On May 10, the Multan Sultans will face the Quetta Gladiators, while Islamabad United face the Karachi Kings. This will be the last day of the group stage.

The qualifier will take place on May 13 in Rawalpindi, and will feature the top two teams in the table competing for a spot in the final. The first eliminator will take place the following day in Lahore, and will feature the third and fourth place teams playing each other for a chance to face the loser of the qualifier in the second eliminator, which takes place on May 16 in Lahore as well. The winner of that game will face the winner of the qualifier in the final, which takes place in Lahore on May 18.
Salman Naseer, the PSL’s Chief Executive Officer shared his excitement for the upcoming tournament, shining a light on the players.
“Over the past decade, the HBL PSL has grown into a globally recognised tournament, showcasing the best of Pakistan’s cricketing talent,” Naseer said. He added that “fans in this year’s tournament will not only see high-profile international cricketers but will also witness 34 high-octane matches across four major cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi.”
He also announced the exhibition match taking place in Peshawar. “As part of our commitment to expanding the reach of the HBL PSL, we are delighted to host an exhibition match in Peshawar before the start of the tournament, which is a significant step in bringing top-tier cricket to Peshawar, a city with a deep-rooted love for the game.”
