PCB announces 16-member Pakistan team for test against England


The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued no objection certificates (NOCs) to a select group of cricketers, including Mohammad Amir and Umar Akmal.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a 16-member national team for the upcoming first test match against England.

The first test match between England and Pakistan is scheduled to take place on October 7 in Multan.

Shaan Masood was appointed as the captain of the national test team, with Saud Shakeel serving as the vice-captain.

The squad features a mix of experienced players and emerging talent, including prominent names such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saeem Ayub, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Naseem Shah.

Their inclusion is expected to bolster the team’s performance after a series of disappointing performance this year, from the World Cup to match series with other teams.

The team also comprises Salman Al Agha, Numan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abdullah Shafiq, all of whom bring their valuable skills and experience to the lin ejup.

Similarly, Aamir Jamal, Abrar Ahmed, Mir Hamza and Mohammad Huraira have also been chosen, rounding out a squad prepared to face their arch-rivals.
