PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to delegate powers to Waqar Younis

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has decided to delegate the matters related to cricket to former cricketer Waqar Younis.

He (Mohsin Naqvi) will continue to look after the administrative affairs of the PCB.

According to sources, in this regard Waqar Younis will be given a high post in the PCB.

A single cricketer will be responsible for all decisions related to cricket, including international and domestic affairs, selection committee matters, and issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to players, according to sources.

A formal announcement in this regard is expected soon.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had indicated significant changes in the selection committee, following the national team’s poor performance in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.

Naqvi also mentioned that the interior ministry is not satisfied with the amount of time he dedicates to the PCB.
