PCB confirms Muhammad Yousuf’s resignation from Selection Committee

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed the resignation of former cricketer Muhammad Yousuf from his role as a member of the selection committee.
Jayasuriya’s tenure as Sri Lanka Men’s Head Coach set for year extension
According to the PCB, Yousuf voluntarily stepped down from the position but will continue to serve in other important capacities within the organisation.
Yousuf will retain his role as the batting coach at the High Performance Centre, where he has been a key figure in developing upcoming talent. Additionally, the PCB highlighted that Yousuf played a crucial role as the head coach of the national cricket team during the U-19 World Cup and will remain involved in similar responsibilities moving forward.
The PCB did not specify the reasons behind Yousuf’s resignation from the selection committee but reiterated its confidence in his continued contribution to Pakistan cricket in his other roles.

Earlier, Yousuf announced his resignation in a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, saying, “Serving this incredible team has been a profound privilege, and I am proud to have contributed to the growth and success of Pakistan cricket. I have immense faith in the talent and spirit of our players, and wish our team all the best as they continue to strive for greatness.”
