ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah to attend the Asia Cup opener on August 30.
The inaugural match of the tournament would be played between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan.
According to Indian media reports, the invitation extended to Shah is primarily a hopeful gesture rather than an anticipation of his definite attendance in Pakistan. The invite originated from a verbal proposition conveyed by PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf to Jay Shah while they were in Durban for an ICC event.
