PCB to appoint Sports Medicine Consultant

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are looking to hire a Sports Medicine Consultant in place of the Director of Medical and Sports Sciences.

In this regard, an advertisement for a Sports Medicine Consultant was posted on PCB’s website on Thursday. Applications are open until October 10th.

The PCB are looking to hire a Sports Medicine Consultant in place of the Director of Medical and Sports Sciences.

The advertisement states that the role would be “responsible for timely diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of players in the Pakistan Team and regional outfits at all tiers.”

As the advertisement states, the consultant will also be responsible for the care of players from regional teams as well.

Key responsibilities for the hiree would include providing diagnoses and treatment of cricket-related injuries, evaluations prior to players’ participation, providing nutritional guidance, aiding the rehabilitation process, conducting research into injury prevention, and coordinating with other medical experts, among others.

Applicants are required to have a MBBS degree, 10 years of experience, and an understanding of sports culture. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, cricket knowledge, and sports injuries knowledge is also required,
