PSL returns tonight as Kings face Zalmi

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) makes its return tonight, May 17, as the Karachi Kings face the Peshawar Zalmi in the 27th match of the regular season.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to suspend the PSL on May 9 following escalating tensions between Pakistan and India. Initially, the PCB proposed moving the remaining eight games, four in the regular season and four in the playoffs, to the United Arab Emirates. However, after the ceasefire was declared, the PCB decided to keep the league at home.
All four remaining regular season matches will now take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and the four playoff games will take place in Lahore, at Gaddafi Stadium.
Remaining Matches
The second ranked Karachi Kings will take on the fifth ranked Peshawar Zalmi tonight, May 17, at 7:30 PM. The two sides faced each other int eh 11th match of the regular season on April 21st. The Kings won that closely contested thrilled by 2 wickets, with three balls remaining. Karachi’s final group stage match-up will mark the end of the regular season, when the face the third ranked Islamabad United on Monday, May 19, at 8:00 PM.
Two matches will take place tomorrow, May 18, as the last place Multan Sultans take on the fourth ranked Quetta Gladiators at 3:30 PM, and the Peshawar Zalmi play their second and last match of the regular season against the Lahore Qalandars at 8:00 PM.

How the PSL playoffs work
The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs. The first place and second place team will take each other on in the first qualifier, while the third place and fourth place teams will face off in the first eliminator.
The loser of the first qualifier and the winner of the eliminator will take each other on in the second qualifier, the winner of which will advance to the finals, where they will face the winner of qualifier one.
