Rizwan blitzes past Babar, Kohli to clinch fastest T20 3000-run record

RAWALPINDI: National cricket team’s wicketkeeper and batsman Muhammad Rizwan broke the record of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli in fastest 3000-run chase record.

Mohammad Rizwan achieved the feat of scoring the fastest runs in 79th innings. Earlier, both Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam and former Indian captain Virat Kohli completed 3000 T20 runs in their 81st innings.

It should be noted that in the second T20 match yesterday, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets. The men in green achieved the target of 91 runs in the 12th over with the loss of 3 wickets.

In the match played at the Rawalpindi Stadium, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first against New Zealand.

New Zealand’s batsmen looked helpless against Pakistan’s experienced bowlers and their wickets kept falling. Chapman was outstanding for New Zealand with 19 runs.
