OEIRAS: The eldest son of Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Jr, was called up for the first time by Portugal’s under-15s on Tuesday.
The 14-year-old forward, who plays for Al-Nassr’s youth team in Saudi Arabia, will join Portugal for a tournament in Croatia this month where they will face Japan, Greece and England.

Ronaldo Jr has followed in his father’s footsteps, having played in the youth teams of the 40-year-old Portugal captain’s former clubs Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United.
Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in 2022, shared the squad list on social media with the message: “Proud of you, son.”

Although Ronaldo Jr is eligible to play for the United States, where he was born, or Spain, where he spent much of his early childhood, his call-up by Portugal could signal that he will also follow his father’s path on the international stage.
