RAWALPINDI: The ongoing second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has turned into a nightmare for the visiting side as their batting line-up collapsed spectacularly at the start of the third day.
Day three play timings changed for Pak vs Bangladesh 2nd test
The Bangladeshi batsmen appeared helpless against the relentless Pakistani bowling attack, with six players already back in the pavilion within the first 10 overs of the day.
Bangladesh, resuming their innings at 10 runs without loss, quickly found themselves in deep trouble. Khurram Shahzad struck early, dismissing Zakir Hasan for just 1 run in the sixth over, setting the tone for a devastating morning for the visitors. Shahzad continued his lethal spell, removing Shadman Islam (10) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (4) in the eighth over, leaving Bangladesh reeling.
The onslaught did not stop there. Mir Hamza joined the attack and claimed the wicket of Mominul Haque with the very first ball of his over, compounding Bangladesh’s woes. Even Mushfiqur Rahim, who had shown resilience with a stunning 197 in the first Test, could not replicate his form, falling for a mere 3 runs to Hamza in the 11th over.

Captain Shakib Al Hasan, a key figure for Bangladesh, also failed to hold the fort, succumbing to an LBW from Khurram Shahzad on the third ball of the 12th over. By the time Bangladesh were tottering at 6 wickets down, Pakistan holds a commanding lead of 247 runs.
