LAHORE: Major changes are likely in the Pakistan cricket team and management after the Champions Trophy 2025, sources said on Wednesday.
At the end of the mega event, Head Coach Aqib Javed and Manager Naveed Akram will submit their respective reports to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, sources said, adding that both Javed and Akram will write reports on why the team was eliminated from the group stage.

An explanation is also expected from the team management on why were Faheem Ashraf and Khushdil Shah selected, along with some other players.
All-rounder Khushdil Shah was selected in the 15-member squad at the insistence of the captain, sources said, while it was the selection committee’s decision to include all-rounder Faheem Ashraf in the squad.
Aqib Javed’s responsibility as the interim head coach will also end after the Champions Trophy. The performance of other support staff involved in the team management will also be reviewed, sources said.
The selection committee members may be affected by important decisions. Mohammad Rizwan’s performance as captain will also be examined. The PCB management is not happy with the performance of senior players including Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
