Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has publicly expressed a desire to provide opportunities to emerging talent. This sentiment has spurred discussions about resting key players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who have been pivotal to Pakistan’s recent successes.
Inside sources reveal that the presence of promising players such as Shahnawaz Dahani, Aamir Jamal, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, and Naseem Shah has made the inclusion of Haris Rauf unlikely, with Shaheen Afridi also expected to be given a break.
The selection committee is keen to test the depth of the squad, giving younger players a chance to prove their mettle on the international stage.

Further fueling the speculation, Test captain Shan Masood is reportedly advocating for former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed to replace wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan in the upcoming series. This move could signal a shift in team dynamics and strategy as Pakistan looks to build a robust and versatile squad for future challenges.
