Game Recap
The Warriors started off the game in dominant fashion, with Curry’s first three propelling Golden State to an 11-0 lead. He would hit three more in the quarter and the Warriors would have an enormous 24-point lead with less than 30 seconds remaining in the frame.
The Timberwolves would spend the next three quarters clawing their way back, until they finally levelled the scores in the fourth quarter, after Donte DiVincenzo hit a three, followed by a couple free throws from Naz Reid.
With less than fifty on the clock, Curry hit his seventh three of the game from the left corner, giving Golden State a slight cushion. But, Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels cut the lead down to one with a cutting dunk seconds later. Wiggins then hit two free throws to bring the lead back to three, but DiVincenzo made a layup bringing the difference back down to one. Gary Payton II hit one of his two free throws, and then Curry scored the last two points of the night for the Warriors.
With a four-point lead and six seconds left on the clock, the Warriors had all but won the game. However, that didn’t stop Anthony Edwards from giving Golden State a scare, with a last second three.
The Warriors beat the Timberwolves 116-115, earning their 20th win of the season to match their 20 losses. The Timberwolves are 21 and 19 in the season.
