T20 World Cup 2024: Pakistan men’s team lands in the US and beyond

DALLAS: The Pakistan men’s team arrived in Dallas, the state of Texas within United States (US) in early hours of Saturday for the T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled to begin from Sunday.
Despite a dismal performance and a series loss against England just a day ago, the Men in Green aim to start their campaign on a winning note. The team is scheduled to play their first match against the hosts on June 6.

Pakistan is part of group A during the T20 World Cup 2024. It also comprises India, the US, Canada, and Ireland.
Besides Pakistan, other teams also gear up for tournament, all vying to advance to qualifiers from the initial stages. English pacer Mark Wood expressed concerns about his team’s readiness for the world cup.
Wood stated that his team had limited time to prepare due to rain disrupting half of the matches in the recent series with Pakistan. Despite his concerns, Wood was confident the defending champions would retain the title this year, as well under the leadership of Jos Buttler.
Fan favourites Australia is one team others fear facing the most. The Aussies are a formidable force to be reckoned with, especially as they ride the high from their success in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Batsman David Warner attributed the Aussies success to a “fearless approach” to the game.
Australia is one team that will enter the world cup with a squad packed with match-winners and experienced players.
While India and Pakistan form group B will be one of most eagerly awaited clash in the world of cricket, odl rivals from group B England and Australia will also be another exciting showdown.
Meanwhile, the unpredictable weather is a concern for all teams, especially in the US with rain and tornadoes disrupting warm-up matches in Dallas.
