GEORGETOWN: Afghanistan defeated Uganda by a margin of 125 runs.

Uganda won the toss and chose to bowl first against Afghanistan.

Team Afghanistan posted a total of 183-5 in their 20 overs in the fifth match of T20 World Cup 2024 at Providence Stadium, Guyana on Tuesday.

Afghanistan’s openers put up almost entire total with a 154-run partnership for the first wicket. Rahmanullah Gurbaz put up 76 runs off 45 balls, while Ibrahim Zadran made 70 on 46 balls.

This is also the second-highest opening stand in men’s T20 World Cup history.

In response, Uganda could only make 58 runs in 16 overs before they lost all their wickets.
