Trophy of PSL-9 unveiled

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Tuesday unveiled the trophy of Pakistan Super League-9 (PSL-9).

According to the details, all the team captains were present during the trophy unveiling ceremony held at the Race Course Park Lahore.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that PSL-9 is going to be an amazing series. They have invited International Cricket Council (ICC) and officials of other cricket boards also.

The ninth season of the Super League will be held in four cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan. The final match of the event will take place on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

PSL-9 will take place in two cities including Gaddafi Stadium Lahore and Multan Cricket Stadium. Out of which 14 matches will be hosted in Lahore from February 17 to 27.

Later, the series will be held in Rawalpindi Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be held from February 28 to March 12. As preparations for PSL-9 have fastened and the festival is set to kick off on February 17, the countdown has started.

After the sale of tickets online in the branches of a courier company, the physical sale has also started and queues of cricket fanatics can also be witnessed.

Rock star Ali Zafar will sing the PSL-9 anthem ‘Khul Ke Khel’.

The players were seen in action in the practice sessions of various teams including batting, bowling and physical training.

Officials of the league (umpires and referees) have also been announced and the match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United has been fixed on February 17.

However, the deciding match of PSL 9 will be held at the National Stadium Karachi on March 18.
