UAE vs AFG recap: Afghanistan win 3rd T20I by 38 runs in Sharjah

SHARJAH: The United Arab Emirates were convincingly defeated after scoring just 150 runs in response to Afghanistan’s total of 188-4 in the 3rd T20I of the tri-nation series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday evening.
Skipper Rashid Khan’s men dominated from the very start, as UAE lost their first wicket early with the batter departing after scoring just 7 off 7 balls. Rashid Khan and Sharafuddin Ashraf led the bowling attack, claiming three wickets each, while Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mohammad Nabi took one wicket apiece.
Afghanistan’s innings earlier in the evening was a strong display of batting. Ibrahim Zadran starred with 63 off 40 balls, while opener Sediqullah Atal contributed a solid 54 off 40. Rahmanullah Gurbaz added a quickfire 27 off 11, while Karim Janat (23-not out off 10) and Azmatullah Omarzai (20 off 23) provided valuable finishing touches.

With this win, Afghanistan clinched their second victory of the series, leaving UAE in a tough position after suffering back-to-back defeats. The host team had earlier lost their first match to Salman Agha’s Pakistan side.
