Virat Kohli honours wife Anushka Sharma for his ‘guiding light’

WEB DESK: Indian cricket sensation Virat Kohli has publicly praised his wife, Anushka Sharma, for being his guiding light in upholding honesty, regardless of the circumstances.

The couple, who tied the knot in Italy in December 2017, have remained happily together and consistently in the public eye due to their achievements in their respective fields. Kohli, who made his debut for the Indian national team in August 2008, quickly gained worldwide recognition, while Anushka soared to new heights in the Bollywood industry.

Kohli, speaking with Wrogn, credited Anushka for imparting the wisdom of unwavering truthfulness, stating, “I’ve learned from Anushka how to stay committed to the truth, even when nobody is willing to believe or listen to you. She always reminded me that if you stand by the truth, everything will fall into place, and clarity will prevail.”

The 34-year-old cricketer also applauded Anushka’s strength and resilience as a new mother, especially after the birth of their daughter, ‘Vamika,’ in 2021. Kohli shared, “When you witness your life partner embrace motherhood, you truly comprehend the depth of a mother’s strength.” He marveled at Anushka’s ability to juggle professional commitments, even filming an entire movie amidst the demands of parenthood.

It’s pertinent to note that Virat Kohli is currently representing India in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 and stands out as one of the tournament’s top run-scorers. With an impressive tally of 354 runs in six matches, Kohli’s proficiency in chasing targets remains a defining trait. India, the only undefeated team in the competition, boasts six victories and a firm footing in the semi-finals.
