TAROUBA: Though this time too the Greens went into the ground with a pride to deliver a significant target against the West Indies, the earlier downing of the half batting line turned the second One-Day International clash of the series on the rival side.
The Pakistan team captained by Mohammad Rizwan couldn’t manage to register remarkable score as the Shai Hope-led West Indies swept away significant batters of the national playing-eleven in the very early overs of the clash.
During the match, the Pakistani players hardly managed 114/6 in the first 27 overs, with smart batter Saim Ayub and seasoned player Baba Azam scoring 23 and 0 each respectively.
Other players crushed by rival players were Abdullah Shafiq, Hussain Talat, Salman Ali Agha and Captain Muhammad Rizwan, scoring 26, 31, 9 and 16, each respectively.
Earlier, Captain Rizwan’s team were sent into batting after the rival team’s captain Shai Hope won the toss and elected to field first at Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba today (Sunday).

Afridi’s record high ODI wickets
As fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah went superb, they limited the rival team to a minimum target of 281 runs for the Greens’ batters who easily chased it.
During the match, both the seasoned bowlers Afridi and Shah took 4 and 3 wickets each respectively, with the former crushing 131 batters within just 65 matches.
Afridi’s 131 wickets from just 65 games on ground ranked him the world’s highest ODI wicket-taker. Earlier, this record was with the Afghanistan’s magical spinner Rashid Khan who had gained 128 wickets from 65 clashes.
