World Championship of Legends: Australia dethrones Pakistan

NORTHAMPTON: In the clash between the West Indies Champions and Australia Champions on Wednesday, the Kangaroos defeated the Caribbean team.

With this win, Australia secured the top position in the World Championship of Legends 2024 points table. It dethroned Pakistan with 8 points and an impressive net run rate (NRR) of 2.464. They have won four out of their five matches, suffering just one loss.

Pakistan, also with 8 points, holds the second spot behind Australia in the standings with a NRR of 1.644. They have won four matches and lost one out of their five games played.

India follows in third place with 4 points and a NRR of -0.807. Despite winning two matches, they have lost three out of their five encounters.

West Indies is positioned fourth, also with 4 points, but a lower NRR of -1.127. They have secured two victories but suffered three losses in their five matches.

South Africa occupies the second-last position with 4 points and a NRR of -1.34. Similar to West Indies, they have won two matches and lost three in the league stage.

At the bottom of the table are England, managing to win only one out of their five matches, accumulating 2 points with a NRR of -0.746.

Looking ahead, Pakistan will face West Indies in the first semi-final, while Australia will clash with India in the second semi-final scheduled for Friday at County Ground in Northampton.
