Pakistan at the World Cup: squad announced


LAHORE: In a much awaited update, Pakistan men’s cricket team’s chief selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq has announced the names of Pakistan cricket players included in the squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s World Cup 2023.

Babar Azam will be the captain, accompanied by Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, M Wasim Jr, Saud Shakeel, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Usama Mir.

Inzamam to announce Pakistan’s world cup squad tomorrow

Mohammad Rizwan will be the wicket keeper. Mohammad Haris, Zaman Khan, and Abrar Ahmed will be the reserve players.

“Our spin bowlers are not performing well, need to work on that,” Inzamam said during his speech, adding that Hassan Ali has been chosen as Naseem Shah’s replacement because he is more experienced than Zaman Khan.
