Would’ve been PCB chairman if lobbied: Shahid Afridi

ISLAMABAD: Former cricketer Shahid Afridi has dismissed allegations of lobbying within the Pakistan Cricket Board, stating that he never sought to exert any influence over his son-in-law Shaheen Shah Afridi.

He made these comments in response to recent events within the Pakistan cricket team leading up to the T20 World Cup.

“If I had lobbied or done anything then I would have been the PCB chairman,” he said at an event in Karachi. “As a human being, will it suit me to say that Shaheen should be made captain? I don’t even like such a statement to support my man.”
