WEB DESK: Renowned wrestling icon Ric Flair, known as “The Nature Boy,” has stirred the wrestling community by expressing his desire to step back into the ring despite having announced his retirement following a memorable match last year.
According to media reports, Flair’s last match, a memorable event where he teamed up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31, 2022, was a spectacle filled with intense moments that left fans worried for the wrestling legend.
Flair, true to his promise, took some daring bumps and even orchestrated a fake heart attack during the match. However, he emerged victorious, putting fans at ease with the notion that it might have been his last appearance in the ring.

Meanwhile, during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, 74-year-old veteran revisited his final match, expressing a desire to wrestle again and acknowledging the unconventional nature of such a decision.
He said that he should have chosen Ricky Morton for his retirement match, praising Morton’s ongoing wrestling career. Despite the unconventional choice of a comeback, Flair highlighted the positive impact the preparation for his last match had on his fitness regimen.
Flair revealed, “I want to wrestle again right now. Isn’t it crazy? I feel like, because Ricky Morton, the guy that I should have chosen for my last match, would have been great.” He detailed his intense training routine, emphasising his commitment to staying in shape. Flair admitted to working out three hours a day, five days a week, and reflected on the positive transformation it brought about.
Currently hitting the gym rigorously, Ric Flair seems determined to prove that age is just a number in the world of wrestling. The wrestling community awaits whether The Nature Boy will indeed make a comeback, as only time will tell if this wrestling legend graces the ring once more.
