WWE SummerSlam results: Event delivered surprises and thrill

DETROIT: In an event that offered both anticipated outcomes and a few surprises, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) SummerSlam 2023 delivered an action-packed spectacle.

According to the media reports, the event featured an eight-match card that prominently featured four championship bouts.

There were already various speculations around the highly anticipated tournament, which eventually added to the hype.

According to the reports, Jey Uso challenged Roman Reigns for the coveted WWE Universal Championship and the esteemed title of Tribal Chief.  Whereas GUNTHER, riding on the cusp of a historic Intercontinental Championship reign, fearlessly defended his title against the returning Drew McIntyre.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship saw Seth Rollins successfully fend off Finn Balor’s challenge, and Asuka demonstrated her mettle by defending her WWE Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat Match against formidable contenders Charlotte Flair and Bianca, the media reported.

WWE also featured a co-main event of Cody Rhodes pitted against Brock Lesnar.

Meanwhile, the anticipation leading up to the event was already reflected in the viewership numbers for WWE SmackDown on Friday, which amassed an impressive overnight viewership of 2.151 million viewers.
