Aston Martin names Andy Cowell F1 team principal

Cowell adds to his job title after leaving his role as head of Mercedes’ High Performance Powertrains to become Aston Martin’s CEO last July.

Formula One (F1) will retain the existing points system rather than rewarding more finishers beyond the top ten, the governing Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) said in a statement on Tuesday.
