Toyota to take key supplier private in $26 billion deal

An unlisted real estate company chaired by Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda will offer 3.7 trillion yen ($26 billion) to take Toyota Industries (6201.T) a maker of forklifts and engines, batteries and converters, off the market.

Toyota Industries shares remained untraded with a glut of buy orders on Monday. The bid and ask indicated that their price was poised to hit the daily upper limit of 16,225 yen, a 23 percent percent jump on Friday’s closing price of 13,225 yen.
