ICC seeks arrest warrants against Taliban leaders

An ICC prosecutor said he had applied for arrest warrants for Taliban leaders in Afghanistan, including Haibatullah Akhundzada, accused of crimes against humanity for widespread discrimination against women and girls.

The Taliban announced on Tuesday that it no longer recognised Afghan diplomatic missions in numerous Western countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada.
