WEB DESK: Adobe has introduced a series of AI-powered features to its widely used applications, Illustrator and Photoshop, promising to transform how creatives design and edit their work.

The company revealed these updates today, highlighting their potential to streamline creative workflows and provide users with enhanced control over their projects.

Enhancements in Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is receiving several updates designed to improve efficiency and ease. The new Selection Brush Tool and Adjustment Brush Tool aim to simplify repetitive tasks, while enhancements to the Type Tool and Contextual Taskbar offer a more refined user experience.

The latest update also integrates advancements from Adobe Firefly, enabling more sophisticated AI-driven content generation.

These updates reflect Adobe’s ongoing commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into its suite of creative tools, aiming to make everyday design tasks faster and more intuitive for users.

New features in Adobe Illustrator

Illustrator is set to benefit from the addition of Generative Shape Fill. This innovative tool allows users to apply intricate vector designs to shapes through simple text prompts entered in the Contextual Taskbar.

Users can also leverage existing elements within the document to inform the new shape’s design. All creations using Generative Shape Fill are vectorised, ensuring they remain editable.

Another notable addition is the Mockup feature, which enables users to visualise their illustrations on real-world objects, such as apparel or packaging.

By analysing the object with a single click, Illustrator accurately applies the illustration to match the correct dimensions and perspective.

Additional updates include enhanced typeface detection from vectors or images, facilitating straightforward editing or replacement, and the Text to Pattern feature, which allows for the creation of fully editable backgrounds.
