WEB DESK: At its first international event in Los Angeles, Canva announced a significant platform overhaul, introducing a range of new features designed to enhance the user experience and cater to the needs of large organisations.

The platform now boasts a redesigned user interface aimed at boosting creativity and productivity. Users can enjoy a new contextual editing toolbar with a one-click background remover and Magic Studio AI tools.

The customisable homepage allows for organising favourite designs and brand templates, while a pinning feature highlights company-wide content. The search interface has been upgraded for easier access to assets, and improved navigation facilitates seamless team collaboration.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of Canva Enterprise, a subscription service tailored for large organisations. This service meets complex security, reporting, and management needs, enabling efficient internal collaboration and high-volume content production.

Canva Enterprise offers scalable cloud storage with secure multi-team access, a centralised account consolidating design, content production, and AI tools, as well as advanced security features such as Canva Shield, Single Sign-On (SSO), SCIM, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Magic Studio, Canva’s AI-powered suite, received significant enhancements. Magic Media now transforms text prompts into graphics, icons, and illustrations, while Magic Design generates high-quality presentations using AI. The Resize and Magic Switch feature resizes documents with a prompt, and the AI-powered photo editor allows for seamless editing of objects within images.

Canva’s Visual Suite has also been improved, now offering change tracking and collaborative editing capabilities. Users can access asset libraries and templates approved by major platforms like Amazon Ads, Google, and Meta. The Data Autofill feature allows businesses to import data from third-party platforms effortlessly.

To cater to the diverse needs of different departments, Canva introduced specialised tools for marketing, HR, sales, and creative teams, including customisable work kits and craft-specific templates. With these comprehensive updates, Canva aims to enhance design accessibility and efficiency for both individual users and large enterprises.
