Chery Pakistan set to launch electric, hybrid cars

WEB DESK: Chery Pakistan is set to introduce a lineup of electric and hybrid cars including the Omoda E5 EV, Jaecoo J7, J8, and J7 PHEV, into the Pakistani market, media reports have revealed.

The Manager of Chery’s Omoda and Jaecoo brands, Ryan Wang, has confirmed that the automobile company will be introducing innovative cars in Pakistan.

The launch date for the cars has not been disclosed as of yet.

Electric cars are still a new phenomenon for Pakistani consumers. Last month, Indus Motor Company (IMC), the local partner of Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp, unveiled its inaugural locally manufactured cross-hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). This move aims to cater to the increasing demand for fuel-efficient and eco-friendly cars in Pakistan.
