BEIJING: A team of telecom engineers from China successfully developed the world’s first field test network for 6G communication and intelligent integration.

The experimental network was unveiled by a team from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. It demonstrated the capability of semantic communication to achieve 6G transmission capacity using existing 4G infrastructure.

In an official seminar, the team showcased their groundbreaking achievement: the experimental network achieved a 10-fold improvement in key communication metrics like capacity, coverage, and performance compared to current technologies.
