Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s launch date and details leaked

WEB DESK: Samsung has once again piqued the interest of its fans with the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, the latest addition to its 2025 flagship lineup.

First teased during the launch of the Galaxy S25 in January, the company has yet to announce an official release date for the device, but has hinted that it will be available in the coming months.

Although Samsung has remained tight-lipped about specific details, leaks and rumours have been steadily emerging from unofficial sources. The most recent updates provide insights into the phone’s weight, thickness, and expected price.

A well-known leakster on X recently shared details regarding the Galaxy S25 Edge’s dimensions.

According to the leak, the device will weigh 162g, the same as the base model of the Galaxy S25, and will have a slim profile measuring just 5.84mm. Previously leaked images have already shown off its remarkably thin design, which is expected to be one of its standout features.

Unlike the more budget-friendly Fan Edition models, the Galaxy S25 Edge is being marketed as a high-end product.

This means it will come with a premium price tag. The same leak suggests that the price will be comparable to the Galaxy S25+, which starts at $999 in the US. While both devices are said to share similar specifications, the Galaxy S25+ boasts a superior camera setup, while the Galaxy S25 Edge’s slim design sets it apart.

While Samsung has yet to confirm the exact release date, recent reports speculate that the Galaxy S25 Edge could launch on April 16, with sales expected to begin in May 2025. Initial production is rumoured to be limited to 40,000 units, indicating that availability may be restricted to select markets due to tight supply constraints.

As fans eagerly await more official details, the Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most anticipated premium devices of the year.
