Here’s how much the iPhone 14 Pro Max costs in Pakistan right now

iPhone 14 Pro Max price in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The iPhone 14 Pro Max might be two generations old, but it’s still getting plenty of love in Pakistan, and for good reason. In a country where Apple doesn’t officially operate and PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) taxes can cost nearly as much as the phone itself, the fact that the iPhone 14 series continues to hold strong demand is impressive.

Launched globally in September 2022, the iPhone 14 Pro Max brought a serious refresh to the iPhone lineup. It introduced a bunch of firsts, Dynamic Island, a 48MP main camera, and the A16 Bionic chip, wrapped up in a polished design that still looks premium three years later.

While the iPhone 16 series is now Apple’s latest and greatest, the 14 Pro Max remains a compelling choice in Pakistan’s resale market in 2025, especially for buyers looking to avoid flagship-level prices.

Let’s be clear, buying an iPhone in Pakistan has never been cheap. With no official Apple Store, users rely on local distributors like Mercantile, GNext, and Airlink to get their hands on officially PTA-approved devices. These models come factory sealed and often include local warranty support, but they also carry a massive price tag due to import duties and PTA approval fees required to use SIM in Pakistan.

Still, Apple fans in the country don’t hold back. From the base iPhone 14 to the Plus, Pro, and Pro Max, the entire lineup gained traction. But among all four, the iPhone 14 Pro Max stood out and still does.

Why everyone wanted the iPhone 14 Pro Max

When Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 Pro Max, it did more than just bump up the specs. The most noticeable change was Dynamic Island, the pill-shaped cutout replacing the traditional notch. It wasn’t just a design gimmick; it became an interactive hub for notifications, Face ID prompts, music controls, and more. This was Apple showing how hardware and software can blend seamlessly and it worked.

The 48MP main sensor was another big leap. After years of sticking with 12MP cameras, Apple finally gave photographers and video creators something meatier. Pair that with the always-on display, a new Deep Purple finish, and serious battery life, and it’s easy to see why the 14 Pro Max hit a sweet spot.

Under the hood, the A16 Bionic chip delivered blazing-fast performance with improved efficiency. It handled everything from ProRAW photography to console-level gaming without breaking a sweat. And yes, it still holds up beautifully in 2025.

Flashback: how much did it cost?

Back in October 2022, buying a brand-new, PTA-approved iPhone 14 Pro Max in Pakistan was no small feat. Here’s what buyers were paying at launch:

iPhone 14 Pro Max launch price in Pakistan

iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB: Rs465,000

iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB: Rs494,000

iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB: Rs550,000

iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB: Rs607,000

Those numbers are wild when you consider that in some global markets, you could pick one up for nearly half that. But with the PTA tax structure, shipping costs, and the premium of being an Apple user in Pakistan, that was the reality.

Fast-forward to 2025: a lot more affordable

Jump to today, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max is a lot more accessible, at least if you’re willing to go the used route. The second-hand market in Pakistan is thriving, with tons of listings on OLX, Facebook Marketplace, and even smartphone shops in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

Here’s what you can expect to pay now for a clean, used device with decent battery health (usually above 85 per cent):

iPhone 14 Pro Max latest price in 2025

iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB: Rs240,000 to Rs260,000

iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB: Rs260,000 to Rs290,000

iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB: Rs290,000 to Rs310,000

iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB: Rs320,000 to Rs385,000

Of course, condition matters. You’ll pay more for phones with original accessories, scratch-free displays, or better battery health. If you’re okay buying a non-PTA version and getting it approved later, you can save even more upfront.

Still a great experience

So, is the iPhone 14 Pro Max still worth buying in 2025? Absolutely.

It’s already running iOS 18 with no hiccups, and it’s expected to stay supported for at least another three years. The A16 Bionic chip is still incredibly capable, and the camera system continues to outshine many newer Android phones in the same price range.

Battery life remains solid, the display is stunning, and features like Face ID, MagSafe, and ProMotion still feel modern. In short, this phone doesn’t feel “old” and that’s exactly why people are still buying it.

Should you buy one?

If you’re in the market for a high-end iPhone but don’t want to drop half a million rupees on the latest model, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is a smart choice. It’s got flagship-level specs, strong resale value, and a design that still turns heads. And with second-hand prices now far more reasonable, it’s one of the best premium iPhones you can buy in Pakistan right now.

If you’re not looking for a flashy or oversized phone, the iPhone 14 is also a great option. Prices for a PTA-approved iPhone 14 range from Rs210,000 to Rs245,000, depending on its condition, storage capacity, and battery health.

Just be smart, check the IMEI, inspect battery health, ask about accessories, and verify whether it’s PTA-approved or not before handing over your money.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max might be yesterday’s flagship, but in Pakistan’s current market, it’s still one of the best iPhones you can buy today.
