WEB DESK: Apple’s recently launched iPhone 16 series appears to be performing well in the market, according to the latest supply chain reports.
While last week’s report raised doubts about sales, prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has now shared positive news regarding the iPhone 16 lineup.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kuo, a well-known supply chain expert, offered several updates on iPhone 16 shipments. He revealed that overall sales figures are in line with Apple’s expectations, and there are no signs of supply chain cutbacks, which are often a red flag after major product launches.
Typically, any early issues with sales become apparent through production adjustments shortly after launch. Although Apple does not disclose specific sales numbers, supply chain data often provides insight, especially through reports of component reductions or increases.
Kuo pointed out that while the demand for the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus has been lower than anticipated compared to last year’s models, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have performed much better.
Suppliers were even asked to continue production of the Pro models during China’s National Day holiday, suggesting steady demand for these higher-end versions.
Despite some uncertainties surrounding the overall performance of the iPhone 16 series, the final sales data will be revealed in Apple’s quarterly earnings report later this month. For now, Apple seems to be on track, especially as the holiday season approaches, which could further boost sales.
