Is Reddit down: Company resolves issue

SAN FRANCISCO: Hours after it was down, the social news aggregation forum Reddit announced restoration of services as the company resolved issues across all its platforms.

Users reported facing issues while trying to access Reddit late on Wednesday. The company announced it was investigating the issue in early hours of Thursday.

Users had reported issues across all of Reddit’s major platforms, including its desktop and mobile website and cell phone app.

On its status page, the discussion forum website acknowledged the issues over 500 million of its users were facing.

By 2:20 am local time, Reddit announced that the issue was resolved and services were restored.
