ISLAMABAD: Samsung has reduced the price of its popular Galaxy A56 by Rs7,000, bringing it down to Rs131,000 on the official Samsung Pakistan website. The phone was previously listed at Rs150,999.
The Galaxy A56 is part of Samsung’s A-series, which started with models like the A50 priced under Rs50,000 in Pakistan. Over time, however, the A-series has steadily climbed in price. Past models like the A50, A51, A52, A53, A54 and A55 were all big hits, especially among users who wanted strong features without going for the flagship Galaxy S series.
Key features of the Galaxy A56
The Galaxy A56 runs Android 15 with One UI 7 and is powered by the Exynos 1480 processor. It comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display that supports 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1,900 nits brightness. The phone is built with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides and has an aluminium frame. It also comes with IP67 water and dust resistance.
On the camera side, it has a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP macro camera. The front camera is 12 MP and supports 4K video at 30fps. The phone is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. It also includes stereo speakers.

While the price cut makes the phone slightly more affordable, many Pakistani buyers feel Samsung’s mid-range phones are still overpriced. This has pushed a growing number of Samsung users toward more affordable Android options from brands like Redmi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Infinix and Tecno.
Consider Samsung’s Galaxy A16, priced around Rs62,000, which comes with an old-style notch display, a 90Hz screen, a 50 MP camera, and only 25W charging. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 14 Pro, priced at Rs53,900, offers a punch-hole display, 120Hz refresh rate, 100 MP camera, 33W fast charging, and a 500 mAh bigger battery. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, giving users much more value for their money.
Still, Samsung remains a trusted name worldwide. Many users in Pakistan continue to choose it for its reliability, regular software updates, and solid build quality, even if they have to pay more.
