WEB DESK: Samsung made significant announcements at its SDC23 (Samsung Developer Conference 2023), unveiling key features of its latest version of the custom Android skin, One UI 6. This latest iteration is set to enhance the user experience and introduce intelligent photo and video editing capabilities.

One of the major highlights of One UI 6 is its focus on improved usability and advanced photo and video editing tools. The software will feature a redesigned Quick panel and app interfaces, along with a new typeface called One UI Sans.

Moreover, the Gallery function will employ AI-powered features like Photo Remaster and Object Eraser to analyse photos and suggest enhancements.

Additionally, Samsung introduced an innovative multi-layer video editor named Samsung Studio. This tool allows users to add text, stickers, and music to their video timelines, enhancing creativity and customization options.

In a bold move, Samsung emphasised its renewed commitment to Tizen, the Linux-based open-source operating system. The company plans to integrate Tizen into new home appliances such as ovens and washing machines, equipping them with larger displays for a more interactive user experience.

Samsung also unveiled the Tizen SDK, featuring a combined 2D and 3D graphics engine to support developers in creating engaging applications.

Furthermore, Samsung Health is set to expand into a comprehensive digital health ecosystem. To foster innovation, Samsung will grant third-party developers access to the BioActive sensor on Galaxy smartwatches through the Samsung Privileged Health SDK.

This move is expected to encourage the development of diverse health and wellness applications, enriching the overall smartwatch experience for users.

Samsung’s announcements at SDC23 highlight the company’s commitment to innovation and user satisfaction, bringing forth a new era of intuitive software and advanced functionalities across its product ecosystem.
