WEB DESK: Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra, expected to launch in four months, is already stirring excitement as leaks about its design begin to surface.
While the phone’s complete design remains under wraps, recent leaks suggest that it could be one of Samsung’s thinnest flagship devices to date.
Slimmest Galaxy Ultra yet?
According to reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, making it slimmer than many of its predecessors.
If true, this would place it among the slimmest flagship smartphones launching in 2025, although it won’t break Samsung’s own record, with the Galaxy S6 remaining the company’s slimmest flagship at 7mm.
Here’s how the S25 Ultra stacks up against Samsung’s flagship models over the past five years:
Galaxy S20 Ultra: 166.9 x 76.0 x 8.8 mm
Galaxy S21 Ultra: 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm
Galaxy S22 Ultra: 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm
Galaxy S23 Ultra: 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm
Galaxy S24 Ultra: 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6 mm
Galaxy S25 Ultra: 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature a durable build with titanium side rails and Gorilla Glass protecting both the front and back. It will likely offer water and dust resistance along with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Performance-wise, the S25 Ultra will come with a 5,000mAh battery, similar to its predecessors, and continue to support 45W fast charging, a feature that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S20 Ultra in 2020.
Despite its slimmer design, Samsung has reportedly upgraded the camera system. Leaks suggest the phone will boast a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, two 50MP telephoto lenses, and a 12MP front camera for selfies.
The device is expected to launch with Android 15-based One UI 7.1, and it will receive seven years of software updates, keeping it future-proof.
Although not all details about the Galaxy S25 Ultra have been revealed, the combination of a sleek design, powerful camera setup, and long-lasting software support is already positioning it as one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2025.
