Amir Muqam escpaes unhurt in gun attack


SHANGLA: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President and adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam has escaped unhurt in a gun attack in Martung on Saturday.

A spokesperson for PML-N KP Ikhtiyar Wali said that Muqam was on his way to attend a meeting when he came under attack. “He is blessed and safe”, he said.

Sources said that KP police had begun the search operation in the area to hunt the attackers.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack on Muqaam and inquired about his well-being. He paid tribute to Muqam’s valour and courage, and extended his well wishes for the people of Martung.

PML-N chief organiser Maryam Nawaz also condemned the attack on Muqam.

“Despite the terrorist attack, you and your associates have continued to serve the people”, she said.
