Attack on Raoof Hassan: FIR registered against unknown transgenders

ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered at the Aabpara Police Station following an attack on Raoof Hassan, the Central General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Raoof Hassan was injured in Islamabad on Tuesday when five to six unknown men dressed as transgender attacked him as he arrived at the office of a private TV channel. The attackers targeted Hassan’s face, leaving him bleeding.

The FIR, filed on behalf of Raoof Hassan, accuses four unidentified transgender individuals of involvement in the incident. The police are currently investigating the matter to apprehend the suspects and the CCTV footage of the incident is also being acquired

PTI leader Shibli Faraz condemned the attack, saying that Hassan was a spokesman of the largest political party in the country.
