Faizabad Interchange sealed for JI rally

RAWALPINDI: Faizabad Interchange has been sealed by placing containers on both sides of the road due to a public rally by the Jamaat-e-Islami.
Murree Road at Faizabad has been closed on both sides with containers under the Pedestrian bridge at due to JI jalsa at Rehmanabad Chowk at 6 pm.
Roads leading to Islamabad from Murree Road have been completely sealed. Those traveling to Islamabad could use the double road.
Lots of commuters are facing much inconvenience due to the closure of the road leading to Islamabad including the Faizabad interchange.
One side of the road from Islamabad to Rawalpindi will remain open however road leading to Islamabad from Rawalpindi will remain closed
Islamabad Expressway remains open for all traffic while Liaqat Bagh area has also been opened for traffic.
JI SIT IN CONCLUDES ON MURREE ROAD
Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in on Murree Road, which lasted until 14 days, culminated after the government and Ji reached an agreement.
Rawalpindi Solid Waste Management teams cleaned the sit-in site and the sound system and other equipment were also wrapped.
The sound system and other equipment at the site were also removed from the site.
On July 26, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) commenced its planned sit-in in Islamabad, with a large number of workers gathering at I-8 on the Islamabad Expressway.
